Lands of what used to be the city's largest Race Track
is cleared to make way for a an urban park and marina.
The area is where Poseidon Coastal Highway
and Sygrou Highway meet at Faliro Bay
in the suburb of Kallithea.

South Athens: Mikrolimano [ Small Harbor ]

Southern Athens: Just south-south west
of the Coastal Highway can see an area
favored by many Athenians
for their afternoon stroll,
to view theater plays,
go to one of the many events at the
Peace and Friendship Stadium,
watch their favorite football/soccer teams play;
stadiums are to the left of the picture
[not visible]
or just have a coffee and
something to eat at one of the
many cafes, bistros and restaurants in the area.

Messogeia Plain of Attica. The CMSA of Athens
is a three county giant which dominates

half of the country's population.

the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch.

Poseidon Coastal Highway: Beginning in the area of Pireas and Neo Faliro at the terminus of the Tram, Metro Line No.1 , Greek National Highway 1 is an expressway for a few kilometers. Past the visible interchange and the interchange with Sygrou Expressway the PCH becomes a lovely palm lined boulevard which takes you by the seaside all the way down to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.
