and Sygrou Highway meet at Faliro Bay

Southern Athens: Just south-south west
of the Coastal Highway can see an area
favored by many Athenians
for their afternoon stroll,
to view theater plays,
go to one of the many events at the
Peace and Friendship Stadium,
watch their favorite football/soccer teams play;
stadiums are to the left of the picture
[not visible]
or just have a coffee and
something to eat at one of the
many cafes, bistros and restaurants in the area.

Athens Vista : Looking SSE towards the SE suburbs

Messogeia Plain of Attica. The CMSA of Athens
is a three county giant which dominates
Greece and accounts for more than
half of the country's population.

Southern Athens: Poseidon Coastal Highway II


Poseidon Coastal Highway: Beginning in the area of Pireas and Neo Faliro at the terminus of the Tram, Metro Line No.1 , Greek National Highway 1 is an expressway for a few kilometers. Past the visible interchange and the interchange with Sygrou Expressway the PCH becomes a lovely palm lined boulevard which takes you by the seaside all the way down to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.
