Livadeia or Λιβαδειά & Livadeia or Λεβάδεια is a city in central Greece. It is the capital of the prefecture Boeotia [ pronounced Vee o tee a ]. Livadeia is located 130 km or 80 miles north west of Athens. The area around Livadeia is agricultural surrounded by a ring of mountains. The Municipality of Levadeia has an area of 270 square miles or 699 square kilometers and a population just under 35,000 inhabitants. The elevation in the city center is 200 meters or 656 feet above sea level.
